At Ooshita Sangyo Co., Ltd., the sports field can be considered a relatively new genre. Products such as park golf and ground golf balls were originally made by other companies, and what our client companies sought from us was further cost reduction. Surprisingly, the know-how cultivated in the completely unrelated stationery field proved to be useful. We applied the technology for making pen barrels and modified the design to enable production using a more suitable molding method. As a result, we achieved significant cost reductions. This can be seen as a good example of our strengths being demonstrated in diverse fields.
