Our company offers a service where we take custody of your parts and conduct leak testing (leak tests, leak checks, and leak examinations) using a helium leak detector. The leak testing using a helium leak detector has the following advantages: - Helium has a smaller molecular diameter than hydrogen, making it suitable as a test gas for leak testing. - It can detect very small leaks with high precision compared to other leak testing methods (it can find leaks that cannot be detected by submerged methods or air leak testers). - It is equipped with a calibrated leak, allowing for quantification of the detected leak amount. - It can identify leak points. - It is a non-destructive test. - Helium is an inert gas that is safe and does not cause chemical reactions with products. Our staff, who have been involved in helium leak detector testing for many years, will provide thorough explanations and careful inspections to our customers. If requested, we will comment on the possible causes based on the manner of the leak and the behavior of the values when a defective product (NG product) is detected. We offer two methods of service: in-house testing and on-site testing. 【Inspection Equipment】 Helium Leak Detector ASM310 manufactured by Pfeiffer Vacuum, Germany *Regular calibration leaks are updated to maintain the reliability of the measurements. 【Testing Method and Detection Sensitivity】 - Detection sensitivity of the vacuum method (spray method) is 10E-3 to 10E-12 Pa·m³/s. *The lower limit of measurement (background) varies depending on the condition of the inspection target, volume, outgassing, etc. - Detection sensitivity of the pressurization method (sniffer method) is 10E-3 to 10E-7 Pa·m³/s. *Using the auto-zero function allows for inspections at effectively -9 power Pa·m³/s. *The pressure for pressurization should be discussed and kept below the pressure of high-pressure gas cylinders. - Other methods, such as the bombing method, etc. The lower limit of detection for other leak testing methods is generally considered to be -3 power Pa·m³/s for the "submersion method" and -5 power Pa·m³/s for the "differential pressure air leak tester." 【Inspection Jigs】 We will devise and prepare inspection jigs tailored to the shape of your products. Please provide any materials or information regarding the shape of the inspection target in advance. 【Inspection Report】 The results of the inspection will be submitted in writing. It is also possible to fill out the format provided by the customer.
