【Production Examples】 ■ Kurotani Washi Calendar (Black color from Kozo charcoal) - As part of a joint research project with Kyoto Prefectural University, the discarded core parts of Kozo were turned into charcoal, which was then transformed into ink for printing the calendar. ■ Shimogamo Shrine Calendar (Gold color mixed with Aoi leaves) - The leaves of Aoi and Katsura, used in the costumes of the Aoi Matsuri, were dried and crushed to create ink for the production of the calendar.
