**What is pixel shifting technology...** It is a technology that improves resolution by moving the X/Y axis between the pixel pitches of a camera's image sensor in sub-micrometer increments using a piezo actuator, capturing an image each time it is moved, and then synthesizing those images. With a 25M (25 million pixel) camera, it is possible to achieve a resolution equivalent to 100 million pixels with 4 shifts (2 shifts vertically and horizontally) and a resolution equivalent to 400 million pixels with 16 shifts (4 shifts vertically and horizontally).
