This is an introduction to a case study that achieved maximum storage efficiency through design from scratch. The product in this case has a complex shape, and there were no specific guidelines for packing other than using newspaper. As a result, not only was the loading efficiency per box poor, but there were also many instances of product defects due to scratches, leading to unnecessary tasks such as repainting. To address this, we utilized 3D simulation drawings to create pads that optimize both loading efficiency and workability, ensuring that the products do not interfere with each other. Until now, we have introduced cases that improved existing storage methods, but it is certainly possible to design cushioning packaging from scratch as well.
