We would like to introduce a case study on the improvement design of shipping boxes and cushioning materials for medical devices. We received a request to "ship medical devices of 8 different sizes using the same cushioning material." Our company proposed to design a base cushioning material that fits the largest size of the medical devices and to only change the size of the upper cushioning material used as a restraint.
