Today, as most of the population has access to tap water, the concerns of consumers have shifted towards the quality of the supplied tap water, specifically whether it is safe and pleasant to drink, and whether it can be used confidently for daily life and business. To achieve a sustainable water supply in the future, it is essential to adequately meet the needs regarding tap water quality and to further enhance consumer satisfaction. However, there are instances where it is difficult to say that the high-quality water produced at water treatment plants is delivered to consumers while maintaining its quality. This is partly due to issues in water storage tanks, as well as the deterioration of water quality in the distribution pipelines, which has been increasingly pointed out.
