Galil's highest performance motion controller
The DMC-40x0 motion controller is a standalone motion controller with the best performance from Galil. It supports encoder inputs up to 22 MHz. It features a compact housing with full multi-axis drive functionality built-in, allowing for standalone operation as well as operation via PC through Ethernet 10/100Base-T or RS232. The controller includes I/O via photo couplers and has high current output options for relay and brake drive. It operates on a power supply of 20-80 VDC. It supports up to 8 axes, and each axis can operate either stepping motors or servo motors based on settings. With a powerful RISC processor built into the controller, it can execute up to eight application programs simultaneously as multitasking. This enables the implementation of advanced features such as PID compensation including feedforward based on speed and acceleration, and general-purpose I/O provides advanced functionalities like axis motion triggered by external events.
