Sample collection swab
This is a cotton swab for collecting nasal (nasopharyngeal) swab samples used during virus testing. The collection part is a tufted type coated with nylon fiber. The shaft is designed to be thin at the insertion point to reduce the physical burden on the subject and to bend moderately. There is a break point that allows the shaft to be broken off after collection.
