Actively responding to globalization from the design stage! Introducing a comparison of IEC (new JIS), old JIS, and NFPA!
The old JIS circuit symbols include unique standards that can be considered a dialect of Japanese, making them difficult for overseas engineers to understand and creating a disadvantage when selling abroad. It is important to actively respond to globalization from the design stage and create circuit diagrams that can be used in any country, making them more acceptable in overseas markets. This document highlights several symbols and provides a comparison of IEC (new JIS), old JIS, and NFPA. Additionally, some symbols that were thought to be old JIS were actually NFPA symbols, and there are cases where the old JIS symbols used are similar to NFPA, so NFPA symbols are also included for reference.
