Precision machining of stainless steel × cemented carbide brazed products at the micron level! It is a challenging machining technique due to warping that occurs during the brazing of cemented carbide and the grinding process.
We provide precision machining services for materials that are brazed with cemented carbide and austenitic stainless steel (SUS304 series). We perform precision machining on the base material brazed with cemented carbide using techniques such as grinding and electrical discharge machining. The brazed materials are heated in the previous process, which usually causes distortion in the base material. We carry out precision machining, which requires strict geometric tolerances, while removing this distortion. Particularly when the base material is made of SUS or other materials with a high coefficient of thermal expansion, significant warping occurs during the brazing of cemented carbide, and new warping can also develop during the grinding process, necessitating advanced machining techniques.
