Facilitating the assembly of single-use assemblies.
Using a machine to assemble the Bio Tube Applicator's tube and hose barb allows for easy insertion of connectors into silicone or thermoplastic elastomer tubes. The tube and connector are joined without damaging the interior of the tube, but it is important not to use lubricants such as IPA (isopropyl alcohol). The repeatability of the process aids in compliance with cGMP and validation procedures. Concerns about the presence of IPA in fluid pathways are increasing in bioprocessing, and avoiding its use simplifies validation. It is compatible not only with Watson-Marlow tubes but also with connections to filters and other products from different manufacturers. It facilitates the connection of Biopure piping components and tubes, such as Biobarb, making it particularly recommended for customers struggling with connections to thicker-walled tubes.
