【Overview】 ○ This is a contract service for extracting DNA from feces, saliva, skin swabs, etc., and delivering the extracted DNA. Even if you do not have the know-how for DNA extraction in-house, you can obtain extracted DNA through outsourcing. ○ It can be used as template DNA for PCR. It can be utilized for microbial community analysis of gut flora, oral cavity, skin, and more. 【Acceptable Samples】 〇 Category A Feces and intestinal contents from humans, mice, rats, pigs, cattle, horses, chickens, dogs, cats, fish, insects, etc. 〇 Category B Human saliva, plaque, skin swabs, vaginal swabs 【Delivery Contents】 - DNA extract (0.5 mL tube) - DNA concentration measurement results (Excel file) We will deliver at least 70μL of DNA dissolved in sterilized water or TE buffer. We will report the DNA concentration measurement results obtained by absorbance. We also accept DNA extraction from various samples such as soil and activated sludge. 【Use of Equipment or Kits】 - Mag LEAD 12gc or GENE PREP STAR PI-480 and NR201 Purification of crude extracted DNA obtained from Category A specimens will be performed. - MORA-EXTRACT Extraction and purification from Category B specimens will be performed. 【Required Sample Volume and Shipping Method】 Category A: Feces, intestinal contents, rumen fluid 〇 Collected in a fecal container (without preservative) or a highly airtight container - Required amount: 0.2 to 0.5 g - Freeze immediately after collection and transport frozen 〇 Collected in a fecal container (with preservative) - Required amount: 0.2 to 0.5 g - Refrigerate immediately after collection; refrigeration transport is recommended, room temperature transport is acceptable Other than Category A: Oral contents (saliva, plaque), skin swabs, etc. 〇 Collected using swabs, Metaflo Keeper (for skin), 1.5 mL tubes, etc. - Required amount: 0.2 to 1 mL (saliva) - Collect saliva, tongue coating, oral mucosa, and plaque, and freeze immediately; transport frozen - Samples collected by swabbing a wide area with cotton swabs or similar should be transferred to a very small amount of appropriate solution (PBS, saline, sterilized water, etc.) and refrigerated immediately; transport refrigerated.
