[Port Guard AF System Construction Case] Kokugakuin University Main Building Wakaki Tower
It is possible to maintain the concrete substrate feel (aesthetic) over the long term and protect the concrete!
We would like to introduce a case study of the "Portoguard AF System" handled by Central Concrete, which was applied to the Wakaki Tower of Kogakkan University Main Building. The "Portoguard AF System" is a concrete protection method that uses a water-based fluororesin clear coat, which excels in low pollution and weather resistance. In sunny weather, it makes it difficult for oil-based contaminants to adhere, and during rainfall, it facilitates the removal of oil-based contaminants from the surface along with rainwater, thereby reducing the occurrence of streak stains. 【Case Overview】 ■ Building Name: Wakaki Tower, Kogakkan University Main Building ■ Photographer: SS Tokyo Branch Co., Ltd. ■ Design Contractor: Nikken Sekkei Ltd. ■ Construction Contractor: Kajima Corporation and Taisei Corporation Joint Venture *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The texture, materiality, and strength of concrete possess an eternal expressiveness. The "Portuguard System" was created as a means to sustainably maintain that material feel. We faithfully reflect the intentions of architectural firms and designers that should enhance the concrete landscape, providing suggestions for finishing paints and protective materials tailored to the usage conditions for architectural and civil engineering purposes, along with advice on construction aspects and a responsible construction system (depending on the project) to ensure comprehensive quality management. Moving forward, we will continue to develop and provide excellent materials in response to the needs of the times.
