The UpCellⓇ, which began sales in 2007, allows for the detachment of cultured cells without the need for proteases like trypsin or physical stimuli such as scrapers, simply by lowering the temperature, thus enabling the recovery of cells in a damage-free state while maintaining their biological functions. This product was the first in the world to make it possible to recover cell sheets without damage. Currently, the UpCellⓇ is sold worldwide, and many researchers are actively engaged in the research and development of therapies using cell sheets.
