An alternative to the expensive pure rhodium plating process.
The plating film is an alloy of 20% rhodium and 80% platinum. It offers the significant advantage of cost reduction compared to pure rhodium. While keeping the total precious metal concentration in the plating solution to 1g/L, a stable quality plating film can be obtained. Economic rhodium plating can be started from 1L. Another major feature is that the bath operation and plating process are simple, making bath management easy.
