It is a manufacturing technology for graphene dispersions that can control surface oxygen concentration over a wide range.
Traditionally, methods for producing graphene have involved vapor-phase methods or exfoliation methods. Vapor-phase methods can produce highly crystalline graphene, but they have the challenge of high costs, while exfoliation methods are low-cost but result in graphene with low crystallinity. This technology involves a method for uniformly dispersing partially oxidized graphene with low oxygen content in a hydrophobic ionic liquid through the electrochemical exfoliation of graphite in a water-hydrophobic ionic liquid two-phase system. 【Features of the Technology】 - Two-phase system (water-hydrophobic ionic liquid) electrochemical exfoliation method - Surface oxygen concentration below 10%, eliminating the need for re-reduction treatment - Control of surface oxygen concentration is possible A wide range of materials can be applied to the graphite electrodes, and by exploring ways to reuse the ionic liquid, significant reductions in manufacturing costs are expected.
