The PR-9 has been developed and calibrated for measuring cast iron and cast aluminum, effectively avoiding the specific noise of cast iron and accurately detecting the correct bottom surface echo. It is sized to fit comfortably in the palm of a Japanese hand, allowing for comfortable measurements even during prolonged use or in dark environments.
