EverGlide is a pelletized masterbatch material that is highly filled with ultra-high molecular weight silicone (ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane) in a thermoplastic resin.
EverGlide is a pelletized masterbatch material that is highly filled with ultra-high molecular weight silicone (ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane) in a thermoplastic resin. By adding this masterbatch to thermoplastic resins, improvements in wear resistance and sliding properties can be expected. Ultra-high molecular weight silicone is more durable than conventional silicone and excels in wear resistance under harsh conditions. It features high-purity ultra-high molecular weight silicone that is uniformly dispersed and does not bleed out. Since it uses a different technology from PTFE, it can be used as a sliding material that complies with PFAS regulations and is free of fluororesins. It is widely applicable from super engineering plastics like PEEK and PPS to engineering plastics like PA and POM, as well as general-purpose plastics like PP and PE. Synergistic effects can also be expected when blended simultaneously with other sliding fillers such as PTFE, carbon fibers, molybdenum disulfide, and graphite.

basic information
Features of EverGlide ◻ Compliance with PFAS regulations (fluorine-free) ◻ Reduction of friction coefficient ◻ Improvement of wear resistance ◻ No bleed-out ◻ Improvement of release properties ◻ No adverse effects on paintability or printability Various additives, ranging from PTFE to low molecular weight waxes, are commonly used to enhance the lubricity of resins. Low molecular weight waxes are inexpensive but have challenges such as low thermal stability, a tendency to bleed out on surfaces, and a short duration of effectiveness. On the other hand, PTFE has permanent lubricity and high thermal stability, and it does not melt. Generally, an addition amount of about 15-20 wt% is required to achieve lubricating effects. This can lead to a decrease in mechanical properties and an increase in costs. EverGlide has the advantage of being high in thermal stability and not bleeding out like PTFE, while still being effective with a lower addition amount (2-10 wt%).
