BN (boron nitride), also known as "white graphite," has many excellent properties, including thermal shock resistance, electrical insulation, heat resistance, and high thermal conductivity.
BN is made from a white powder with a crystal structure similar to graphite. Therefore, it has similarities to graphite in terms of heat resistance, thermal shock resistance, lubricity, machinability, and chemical stability. However, while graphite is dielectric, BN has high electrical insulation properties and is distinctly white in color. Regarding processing, a tolerance of ±0.01 is possible.
