Typical Fluoropolymer Resins ■PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) It has the highest continuous use temperature of 260°C and excels in non-stick and low friction properties. ■PFA (Perfluoroalkoxyalkane Polymer) It has a continuous use temperature comparable to PTFE, with a low melt viscosity that allows for a continuous coating with fewer pinholes, which cannot be achieved with PTFE. It is the best-performing fluoropolymer for high-temperature corrosion-resistant coatings. ■FEP (Perfluoroethylene Propylene Copolymer) An improved resin of PTFE with a low melt viscosity. Although its continuous use temperature is lower than that of PTFE, it can achieve a smooth coating with fewer pinholes through sintering. Characteristics of Fluoropolymers ■Non-stick Dirt and grime do not easily adhere, and if they do, they can be easily removed. ■Slipperiness Items slide smoothly and very lightly. ■Chemical resistance It is not affected by most acids and alkalis, preventing corrosion of the substrate. ■Heat and cold resistance It can be used at a maximum temperature of 260°C and as low as -269°C. ■Electrical properties It possesses excellent properties in various electrical characteristics. ■Flame resistance It is almost non-flammable.
