In particular, those without Al are called silicalite-1 and exhibit high hydrophobicity. - The pore diameter is slightly larger than that of a benzene ring, and it is known to show unique selectivity in catalytic reactions of aromatic hydrocarbons. - ZSM-5 is widely used as a catalyst for petrochemical products and is also utilized as a hydrophobic adsorbent. Additionally, it is a promising material for catalysts used in automotive exhaust purification. - By miniaturizing ZSM-5, improvements in reactivity, selectivity, and adsorption speed as an adsorbent can be expected.

**About Nano-sized Zeolite Zeoal** Zeolite is a crystalline compound primarily composed of silica and alumina, known for its use as an adsorbent and ion exchange agent. It has a porous skeletal structure similar to a sponge, and by reducing its size to the nanoscale, it has increased external surface area and particle count, leading to improved adsorption speed, enhanced dispersion stability, and the ability to be added to confined spaces. Our nano-sized zeolite "Zeoal" has been developed through a collaborative research project with the University of Tokyo, focusing on the "Crushing and Recrystallization Process" (which is now patented). In 2019, we received recognition from JST for the successful establishment of "Manufacturing Technology for Zeolite Nanoparticles" under the A-STEP program, and there are expectations for its expansion into more industrial applications as a new functional material.
