A case where we conducted a field survey to understand the customer's usage situation, followed that with our design, and carried out manufacturing and on-site installation.
At a university research institution, we were consulted because there were no manufacturers that could provide modifications to existing products that met their requirements. There were two major requests: to block light and to enable remote operation. Therefore, we included light shielding for the peripheral equipment of the microscope, and since lasers were to be used, we implemented an interlock mechanism for safety and installed a camera and monitor for external observation. In the design process, we specified a completely black color with anti-reflective treatment. Additionally, since there were no existing drawings and measurements were taken on-site, we accounted for some discrepancies and designed and manufactured with a margin for adjustment, completing the installation on-site.
