There are various methods for trimming the outer shape of sheet metal parts, such as NC turret punch press processing, laser processing, and water jet processing, but here we will introduce NC router processing. An NC router is a numerically controlled cutting machine. Originally designed for cutting wood, it is widely used in the manufacturing of aircraft parts to process lightweight alloys like aluminum, as well as plastics in other applications. It can trim the outer shape or cut out arbitrary shapes from flat materials. The NC router excels at processing laminated shims, trimming them into any desired shape without peeling.
