DE-DirectView offers high sensitivity and excellent resolution, providing a cost-effective direct detection solution for biological and materials science applications. The DE-DirectView (4k×3k pixels) has a proven track record as the first commercially available direct detection camera. The 8th generation DE-DirectView features optimized 6.0μm pixels for excellent resolution (MTF) across a wide range of magnifications and exposure rates, integrated Faraday plates, and full-frame unbinned streaming at up to 40 frames per second. Users can also acquire data at 75fps using full-frame readout and 2x binning.

[Modulation Transfer Function] The Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) is one of the most widely used scientific methods for describing optical performance. MTF measures contrast across all spatial frequencies. The DDD camera from Direct Electron has very high resolution and contrast, theoretically close to the maximum value, even as spatial frequency increases.
【Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE)】 In the case of TEM cameras, DQE measures the combined effects of the detector's signal performance and noise performance. The DQE curve can be considered with resolution on the X-axis and relative signal-to-noise ratio on the Y-axis, with higher results being better. The DE series demonstrates low noise and high resolution that approach the theoretical maximum in both counting mode and integration mode as spatial frequency increases.
Carbon Film Thon Ring The exceptional high-resolution performance of the DE series cameras from Direct Electron means that the camera is no longer a major limiting factor for TEM resolution. The DE-20 demonstrates very high-resolution bright field TEM imaging, and the Thon ring achieves a resolution of 2.3 angstroms (92% Nyquist).
