[Inspection Case] Visual inspection of resin molded products manufactured overseas. Reduction of manufacturing losses.

We would like to introduce a case study of a problem-solving initiative related to the inspection of resin molded products. "We received a request for inspection due to a consultation from our client, stating that defects were detected when delivering resin products molded overseas, resulting in a lot being rejected. They asked for urgent assistance." In response, we conducted a visual inspection. Among the various defects such as scratches, dirt, chipping, and printing issues, we quickly provided feedback to our client regarding the most prominent defect items. Thanks to the prompt feedback, the outflow of defects from the overseas manufacturing line was minimized, and corrective actions were taken to identify the root cause. Our client was very pleased with the reduction in manufacturing losses and the quick recovery (re-delivery) to the delivery destination. [Proposal Case] <Issue> ■ Due to various defects including molding defects, insert nut defects, scratches, and dirt, a significant amount of inspection time was required. <Proposal Content> ■ We divided the inspection items (scope) and distributed them across several processes for inspection. <Result> ■ By inspecting the frequently occurring defects first during the inspection process, we were able to shorten the inspection time, and the quick feedback contributed to the reduction of manufacturing losses.
