Format Conversion The antibodies obtained through the Antibody Artisan's contract services come with various optional services. If an Fc region is required, we can convert the candidate antibody's Fab into full-length human, human-mouse chimeric, or human-rat chimeric forms, and deliver purified IgG molecules within 10 weeks. After cloning the genes for the VH and VL regions along with the desired constant region into a vector, we simultaneously introduce the light chain and heavy chain vectors into mammalian cells for expression. Furthermore, since they are Fab antibodies, they possess properties that can provide additional advantages in certain assay systems, such as not needing to remove the Fc region to prevent binding to receptors or to minimize the reaction of human anti-mouse antibodies (HAMA). Additionally, tag-specific detection antibodies are very useful in many applications.
