On the other hand, Teflon resin was discovered by Dr. Roy Plunkett of DuPont, and its development progressed, leading to the release of Teflon PTFE. Nowadays, some fluoropolymers sold by Chemours under its trademark are referred to as "Teflon resin" or "Teflon fluoropolymer." There are various types of Teflon resin, including PTFE, FEP, and PFA. Other types of fluoropolymers include ETFE, ECTFE, PCTFE, PVDF, PVF, and TFE/PDD.
