Originally, aluminum has a property that allows it to easily combine with oxygen, and it is protected by a naturally occurring oxide film, which is a major characteristic that gives it good corrosion resistance. However, this film is very thin and can lead to corrosion due to chemical reactions in certain environments. Therefore, by artificially creating a thick oxide film on the surface of aluminum, the corrosion resistance and wear resistance are improved, along with enhancing aesthetics and other functions.
