[Construction Case] Vibration Suppression in Precision Parts Manufacturing Factory - Void Filling Work
"The earthen floor is sagging, causing the machine to vibrate." "The vibration of the machine affects product accuracy." Quickly resolved with the up-con method.
This time, we will introduce a case study of a precision parts manufacturing factory in Saitama Prefecture. Due to ground subsidence, cracks and deflection occurred in the concrete floor, causing vibrations in the machinery. To prevent the impact of vibrations on product accuracy, we carried out subsidence correction work to alleviate deflection and void filling work under the concrete floor. The Upcon method was adopted because it allows for construction without moving the machinery and without stopping operations. 【Site Information】 Saitama Prefecture / Precision Parts Manufacturing Factory Construction Area: 287 square meters Maximum Subsidence: 44 mm Maximum Void Volume: 50 mm Construction Period: 3 days You can view detailed construction information in the PDF download below.

basic information
■ What is the Upcon Method? The Upcon method involves drilling small holes with a diameter of 16mm into existing concrete floors that have experienced subsidence, unevenness, tilting, or gaps. While continuously monitoring the level in millimeter increments, polyurethane resin is injected. The resin injected beneath the floor expands rapidly under pressure, compacting and reinforcing the ground, improving bearing capacity, and lifting the concrete to correct it. The final strength of the resin is achieved in about 60 minutes. Additionally, if gaps occur beneath the floor, they can be filled using the same method. *The polyurethane can lift the floor with a foaming pressure of up to 10 tons per square meter, eliminating the need to move heavy equipment or loads. ■ Features of the Upcon Method 1. Short construction period: The construction time is one-tenth that of conventional methods. 2. No interruption of operations: There is no need to move machinery or loads. 3. Comprehensive high technical capability: Responsible construction by 100% in-house staff. 4. Compact construction system: Quick restoration of the current state is possible. 5. Reduced risk of re-subsidence compared to conventional methods. We provide total support from on-site investigation to repair planning and construction, all handled responsibly by our in-house staff. Our specialized and experienced staff will propose the optimal repair plan tailored to your site.
