[Construction Example] Construction without moving the rack: Warehouse subsidence correction (Fukushima Prefecture)
No need to remove heavy racks or machinery! Here’s an example of a case that was corrected in just 4 days.
We would like to introduce a case of settlement correction implemented at a warehouse located in Fukushima Prefecture. Due to the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in 2011, gradual settlement progressed over the years, leading to the onset of floor sagging and tilting inside the warehouse. Inclination also developed in the areas where racks were installed. This caused issues such as the forklift forks not fitting properly, resulting in "longer loading and unloading times," which disrupted operations and caused difficulties. For this construction project, we adopted the Upcon method, which allows for construction without moving heavy racks within a short construction period.
