High efficiency voltage conversion from 800V to 50V! A case where EMI noise was significantly reduced.
Dragonfly Pictures has developed a new category of wired drone that can hover in a designated location. The power distribution network (PDN) consists of Vicor's slim VIA package high-voltage BCM4144 (4.35 x 1.4 x 0.37 in), which efficiently converts voltage from 800V to 50V inside the UMAR wired drone. By sharing power between rotors to enhance redundancy and combining this with the effects of filters integrated within the BCM, EMI noise can be minimized significantly. [Case Summary] ■ Technical Challenges: Power density and weight, high voltage, low EMI ■ Effects - Supplies power to eight independent rotors - Enhances redundancy by sharing power between rotors *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
