It is a treatment that imparts corrosion resistance to aluminum.
Anodizing (treatment) refers to the anodic oxidation treatment of aluminum, which is a surface treatment that artificially generates an oxide film (aluminum oxide) by electrolyzing aluminum at the anode (+ pole). Due to the properties of aluminum, it is lightweight and easy to process, but it is also more prone to rust compared to iron. On the other hand, it is susceptible to scratches on its surface, and these scratches can lead to chemical reactions that cause the product to corrode. The anodizing process compensates for these weaknesses of aluminum. By creating an oxide film on the surface of aluminum through anodizing, it is possible to produce durable aluminum with excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance. There are four methods of anodizing: clear anodizing, hard anodizing, Teflon hard anodizing, and colored anodizing. The appropriate anodizing treatment is applied according to the product's usage environment and purpose.

basic information
Anodizing (treatment) has the following four characteristics: - Improved corrosion resistance As mentioned earlier, aluminum is a metal with a high tendency to ionize, making it prone to corrosion due to reactions with various chemicals such as water and oxygen. Anodizing creates an oxide film on the surface of aluminum, enhancing its corrosion resistance. - Increased hardness and wear resistance The hardness of aluminum ranges from Hv20 to 150 (depending on the alloy), but when anodized, its hardness can increase to over Hv200, thereby improving wear resistance. - High electrical insulation Aluminum is a metal that conducts electricity, but the oxide film generated by anodizing does not conduct electricity, resulting in high insulation properties. - Colorable The oxide film produced by anodizing is colorless and transparent, but it can be dyed using dyes to add color to the oxide film.
