Malt filters are designed to be less likely to peel off when wet due to adhesion with hot melt. They have a proven track record as dishwashing and car wash sponges.
The filter material has better water permeability and drainage than regular urethane. When used for application, it is suitable for spreading without absorbing too much liquid. By layering urethane of different materials, it is also possible to differentiate hardness on the front and back.
