It is also called PA66 or polyamide 66. Nylon 66 is used quite widely as an industrial resin, from fibers to automobiles.
PA66 and 66N are synthetic fibers developed as alternatives to natural silk for the first time in the world. Compared to nylon 6, they demonstrate superior values in heat resistance and mechanical strength, making them the strongest resin in the polyamide category. They comply with food sanitation laws and, with glass-filled reinforced grades, improvements in mechanical strength and heat distortion temperature are expected.
