"Smart Analysis" is a patented spectrophotometric analysis device provided by DNAPhone (Italy) that allows for the easy analysis of various parameters of wort, beer, and brewing water. The measurement time is approximately 10 minutes, and the required sample volume is less than 1cc. Thanks to patented optical technology, it can measure the entire spectrum in the ultraviolet-visible range, enabling color analysis based on the standard CIELab method, as well as color analysis based on the EBC and ASBC methods. The compact device with a built-in battery is portable for on-the-go measurements. With temperature control, it allows for highly reproducible measurements (coefficient of variation CV value of 2-5%). Analysis is conducted using a tablet device with a dedicated app, where users scan the QR code displayed on the reagent box and follow the instructions on the tablet for measurement. The measurement procedure is displayed graphically, making it intuitive to operate. Glassware is not required. The reagents come in a single-use reagent set (20 pieces), and by scanning the QR code, the unique data of the reagents is automatically reflected, eliminating the need for cumbersome tasks such as calibrating the device before measurement.
