Case Study 2: EPS Volume Reduction Machine RE-E1000A ■Industry: Recycling ■Application: Volume reduction of expanded polystyrene (fish boxes, food trays, cushioning materials for home appliances) 【Customer's Challenges】 The company located in Oita Prefecture is engaged in the material recycling of lightweight and bulky expanded polystyrene generated from fish boxes and food trays from supermarkets and markets, as well as cushioning materials from electronics retailers. The expanded polystyrene, crushed into small pieces by a shredder, is formed into sheets called ingots by the volume reduction machine, allowing it to be reborn as a raw material for re-commercialization.
