This is a case study introducing the implementation of the cloud-based production management system MES "42Q" at Sanmina, the first contract manufacturing company. The existing on-premises MES was advanced, but the visibility for managing real-time production metrics across various factories was limited, requiring extensive maintenance by both the operations and IT teams. After implementation, it integrated 50 manufacturing facilities worldwide, providing real-time visibility and alerts for key production statistics, as well as serving as the backbone for automation and IIoT.
