As the demand for extensive PFAS monitoring in drinking water and environmental water (non-drinking water) increases, efficient analytical methods are required. In this study, we developed a simultaneous analysis method targeting alternative (short-chain) and conventional (long-chain) PFAS, as well as ultra-short-chain PFAS, including C2 (ultra-short-chain), C3, C4, C6, C8, and alternative compounds. A rapid and simple LC-MS/MS method for comprehensive PFAS analysis has been established. It is now possible to consistently analyze ultra-short-chain (C2 and C3), short-chain (C4 to C6), and alternative PFAS, as well as long-chain PFAS (C8 and above). Compounds containing trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), which are difficult to retain with conventional methods, can be reliably retained and analyzed using the Raptor Polar X column.
