Calcium fluoride (CaF2), a low refractive index material, has exceptional transparency in the range of 0.19 to 7 μm. It is suitable for use from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR). Germanium (Ge), a high refractive index material, is ideal for maximizing transparency in the range of 3 to 12 μm.
