The EtherCAT communication dedicated Main device "PXEP-CN" is an EtherCAT-compatible Main device equipped with the pulse generation software "PGS," which was independently developed by Cosmotex, and it is a multifunctional motion controller. It has supported VC++, C#.NET, and VB.NET, but for the first time in Cosmotex products, it now supports Python and provides a language file. Individual settings for starting and stopping speeds, acceleration time during operation, principle time, target speed, and the ability to override movement amounts allow for flexible acceleration and deceleration settings. Settings can be freely adjusted in 1 msec increments between 1 PPS and 400 MPPS.

The hard limit stop function allows for a separate setting of deceleration when entering the hard limit. Additionally, it is equipped with a soft limit deceleration stop function as well.

Interpolation control allows for the recording of interpolation data within the PGS for up to 5000 steps, enabling changes to the interpolation data during operation, modifications and corrections of the target position, and temporary pauses in interpolation operations as needed. Additionally, it is possible to restart from a pause and switch interpolation axes (from XY axis to XZ axis), among other functions.

The online soft landing feature allows for the suppression of overshoot during stops with bonding devices, enabling protection of machines, materials, and workpieces.

The pitch correction function (pitch error correction function) measures the pitch errors at regular intervals in transmission mechanisms such as screws in advance, and corrects the pitch error by adding the correction amount to the commanded position during control axis drive for positioning. *Performance: Improved positioning accuracy from 46μm to 3μm, a 15-fold improvement.

The axis linkage function is a feature that controls by adding or subtracting the command position (output pulse) or actual position (input pulse) of one axis to another axis. By linking the work table (such as the XYZ axis) with the encoder information of the conveyor, it is possible to operate without stopping the conveyor.

Equipped with gantry control as a basic function. By applying the axis linkage function, the Y2 axis is set to be linked to the Y1 axis, allowing the Y2 axis to automatically follow simply by issuing commands to the Y1 axis alone.

The trigger input drive function uses general-purpose input as a trigger signal to execute pre-set actions. This function can be used for drive start, synchronous start, and more.

The timing output function refers to the ability to emit output signals at specified positions or timings, which can be used to turn ON/OFF devices such as strobes, camera shutters, and sensor equipment.
