Medium for Microbial Testing: Easily screen for pathogens causing bovine mastitis!
"Chromagar Mastitis GP/GN" is a selective isolation medium for screening pathogens causing bovine mastitis, consisting of media for gram-positive bacteria (GP) and gram-negative bacteria (GN). It allows for easy screening of bovine mastitis pathogens due to its distinct colony coloration. In the Chromagar Mastitis GP medium for gram-positive bacteria, Streptococcus agalactiae forms turquoise blue colonies, Streptococcus uberis forms metallic blue colonies, and Staphylococcus aureus forms pink colonies. In the Chromagar Mastitis GN medium for gram-negative bacteria, Escherichia coli forms dark pink to red colonies, while Klebsiella species form metallic blue colonies. [Features] ■ The colonies exhibit characteristic coloration due to enzyme substrates, enabling easy screening of bovine mastitis pathogens.
