"Mitarepo" is a series that introduces what can be done using various products with the concept of "I tried doing this!" From the wide range of product genres handled by System Create, we deliver useful information each time. In Vol. 77, we used the carbon composite 3D printer "Anisoprint Composer," which allows for the incorporation of carbon long fibers into the model during the printing process, to create a model using soft biocompatible resin mixed with carbon long fibers. Until now, we have been incorporating carbon fiber into commonly used materials like PLA and ABS. The ability to freely choose commercially available materials is one of the attractions of the Composer. Having sufficiently handled the printing of general-purpose materials, this time we challenged ourselves with a somewhat unusual material: "soft materials"! What kind of model will be created with this unusual combination of a soft material like rubber and the highly anisotropic carbon?
