PET can be processed with a Thomson die up to a thickness of about 1mm. For thin sheets, it is often possible to use Thomson processing even with plastic.
PET is one of the four major transparent resins and is a familiar material used in bottles and other products. It does not emit harmful gases when burned and has excellent recyclability. Thin sheets can be processed through cutting, allowing for mass production.
