Blue light cut, high heat resistance UV absorber "DAINSORB T-206"
Recently, the demand for polyester and polycarbonate with blue light cut performance for applications such as eyewear and displays has been increasing. Generally, these resins are molded by melt mixing at high temperatures of around 300°C. When adding UV absorbers to the resin, it is common to add them during the mixing process; however, in the case of organic UV absorbers, the decomposition temperature is often below 300°C. Therefore, there are few UV absorbers that can withstand temperatures above 300°C. Our product has heat resistance above 300°C, allowing for direct melt mixing with materials that require temperatures above 300°C for molding, similar to the aforementioned resins. As a result, it is possible to impart blue light cut performance directly to the resin itself.
