Hallite 846 is a multifunctional rod wiper of the double lip snap-in type. Its unique "Umbrella Wiper Technology" completely covers the wiper groove and head end face, preventing the intrusion of water and dirt into the hydraulic cylinder and protecting against corrosion. Additionally, the 846 features a thin membrane (burst membrane) that bursts when excessive pressure is applied between the wiper and the rod, preventing the wiper from popping out. When the pressure is released, the membrane closes again, preventing external contamination. Therefore, there is no need for an expensive drain port.
