OptiSeal JSR corrosion-resistant spring-loaded PTFE seal

A rod/piston combined seal compatible with the P-number grooves of JIS B2401, suitable for use in harsh environments. It has low friction and excellent heat and chemical resistance.

The Hallite OptiSeal JSR is a spring-loaded type single-pressure rod/piston seal compatible with the P-groove of JIS B2401. It features a U-shaped seal jacket with a V-shaped corrosion-resistant metal spring integrated into its structure. When there is no load or at low pressure, the spring provides the necessary load to the seal lip, creating appropriate contact surface pressure. As the operating pressure increases, the U-shaped area receives system pressure, enhancing sealing performance at high pressures. [Success Case] Improvement System for Air Swivel Joints

Solving the issues of durability of rubber seals and unstable torque! Here we present a case where the lifespan was extended with a specially designed seal for low pressure.

We would like to introduce a case study on the system improvement of air swivel joints. The existing X-ring (NBR) had issues such as significant permanent compression deformation at high temperatures, and a decrease in wear resistance, leading to a negative spiral state where it lost its sealing function relatively early. Therefore, we specially designed a low-pressure version compatible with pneumatic systems based on Hallite's swivel seal SSR. Air Pressure Cushion Seal 661 'Hallite'

Polyurethane cushion seal with a check valve function designed for pneumatic applications.

Near the stroke end of the cylinder, the protrusion of the cushion seal contacts the taper or R of the piston rod and is pressed against the cushion seal groove. This traps air between the seal and the piston, absorbing shocks by slowing down the movement of the piston. When pressure is applied to the extension side of the system, the compressed pressure is released to the piston side through the special vent groove on the side of the cushion seal.
