The pressurization of cartridges and 96 well plates has more advantages than conventional vacuum processing.
Solid phase extraction (SPE), supported liquid-liquid extraction (SLE), and filtration (protein removal) using cartridges and 96-well plates under pressure have many advantages over conventional vacuum processing. In a typical vacuum manifold, liquid is drawn from the bottom of the cartridge or 96-well plate. When a fast-flowing cartridge empties first, it creates a vacuum state as it becomes the path of least resistance, resulting in a slower flow in the remaining cartridges. This uneven state can lead to variations in processing time and may compromise the reproducibility of results. As an alternative for processing such samples, the Agilent pressure manifold for 48 SPE cartridges (PPM-48) is excellent. The PPM-48 is equipped with unique flow-limiting ports that maintain consistent gas flow across all ports, even if some ports are unused or empty. This consistency ensures reproducibility between columns and cartridges, regardless of the content volume in the cartridges or wells. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document.*

basic information
**Features** ■ Uniform Flow - The flow restriction port allows for consistent processing across the entire manifold, regardless of the contents of the cartridges or wells. ■ No Need for Complicated Stopcocks - Unlike vacuum manifolds that require individual manual control of stopcocks, the PPM-48 does not require stopcocks. ■ High Processing Capacity and Cost-Effectiveness - Capable of processing 48 cartridges, allowing for the simultaneous handling of large volumes of samples. ■ Saves Time and Resources - The auto-sampler vial collection rack for the PPM-48 allows for the omission of the final transfer step. ■ Enhanced Flexibility - Forced gas supply enables a wide range of pressures for processing diverse samples, including viscous ones. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
