■What is the WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) Index? Heatstroke can occur not only during sports activities but also in daily life and at the workplace. As a preventive measure against heatstroke, the WBGT is used as a "temperature standard," categorized into four levels based on temperature: "Danger" (31°C and above), "Severe Caution" (28-31°C), "Caution" (25-28°C), and "Attention" (below 25°C). To determine the WBGT, it is common to use a black globe thermometer; however, this device calculates and displays the WBGT standard simply using the built-in temperature and humidity sensor.
