Image processing system for damage detection and defective product detection [Measurement system development case study]
A case where the required details were interviewed and proposed in a bamboo, pine, and plum format!
We would like to introduce a case where we proposed an image processing system for scratch detection and defective product detection to a manufacturing company. The company expressed a desire to improve their current capability of detecting scratches with a width of 10μm to a high precision of 5μm. We conducted an interview to gather the detailed requirements and made our proposal in a "Matsu-Take-Ume" format. In response to our proposal, they praised the ability to select the cost in relation to their requirements, and they are currently considering which system to proceed with, taking cost-effectiveness into account. 【Case Overview】 ■ Request: Is it possible to improve the detection width to 5μm? ■ Proposal: - Ume System: Providing area scan + image processing using the current jig - Take System: Providing the Ume system including the jig - Matsu System: Providing a high-speed line scan + image processing system ■ Result: Currently under consideration with cost-effectiveness in mind *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
